In keeping with the Niger Delta Development Commission's (NDDC) vision and as part of our mission to improve the lives of the region's youth, we investigated the reasons behind the failure of earlier interventions and attempts. This provided us with the knowledge for a contemporary solution that is focused on establishing the prerequisites for Youths Assessment.
By using digital systems, we were able to develop appropriate criteria for "Needs Assessment" in order to create more sustainable youth development and youth intervention programs. We realised the necessity to develop useful programs that are well-thought-out for you, the Engagement, so that this would practically have a beneficial impact on the lives of the youth. We requested permission to deliver the first phase, titled THE NIGER DELTA YOUTHS RESOURCE POTENTIAL DATABASE, and the second, titled HOLISTIC OPPORTUNITIES PROGRAMS FOR ENGAGEMENT (H.O.P.E. ), and we were approved for procurement.
The Six (6) Sample Programs/Projects Created and authorised in compliance with the program to promote regional development and sustainable youth participation. With the terms and references for the delivery scope in hand, we have developed, set up, and implemented a database system to conduct needs assessments for Niger Delta youth, ages 18 to 45, as a prerequisite for sustainable engagement and development. The H.O.P.E model project is designed to tackle problems in the Niger Delta region, specifically in the areas of youth development, capacity building, and careful action.
